Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of customsprep.com. By using the site or buying a pass, you agree to them.

Last updated July 20, 2026.

1. Who you are contracting with

customsprep.com is operated by Northpine Labs LLC (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].

2. We are not CBP, and this is not legal advice

CustomsPrep is an independent study product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Homeland Security, or any government agency. We do not administer the Customs Broker License Exam, do not set its content, and have no access to your exam registration, score, or license application.

Nothing here is legal advice or customs-broker advice. Our explanations cite public regulations so you can read the source yourself — and the source governs, not our summary of it. Regulations, the HTSUS, and CBP’s exam format all change. Always verify against the current designated references before relying on anything for real entries.

3. No guarantee of a passing score

We do not guarantee that you will pass. What you get is practice material, cited explanations, and scheduling tools; the outcome depends on your preparation and on an exam we do not control. Where we offer a conditional refund, the conditions are set out in the Refund Policy.

4. Your account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for what happens under it and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. One account is for one person. Sharing an account, or reselling access, ends it without a refund — team access is available separately.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

5. Purchases and access period

A pass is a one-time purchase, in U.S. dollars, granting access for the period stated at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card number. Prices may change, but a change never affects a pass you already bought.

Access is granted when Stripe confirms the payment to us, not when your browser returns from checkout. If a payment is reversed, charged back, or refunded, access ends.

6. What you may and may not do with the content

Past exam questions, official answer keys, 19 CFR, and the HTSUS are works of the U.S. government and are in the public domain (17 U.S.C. §105). Use them freely.

Our explanations, walkthroughs, topic taxonomy, drills, mock configurations, and the site itself are ours. You may use them for your own exam preparation. You may not republish, resell, scrape in bulk, feed into a competing question bank, or use them to train a model. Automated access beyond ordinary browsing — scrapers, bots, or systematic downloading — is not permitted.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site up but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change or retire features. If we permanently remove a feature that was central to a pass you have already paid for, email us and we will sort out a fair remedy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including a failed exam, a lost exam fee, or lost earnings. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending this agreement

You may stop using the service at any time; see the Refund Policy for money back. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms — for sharing an account, scraping, or attempting to extract the answer key in bulk. Where the breach is minor and fixable, we will tell you first.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. If a change materially reduces what you get from a pass you have already bought, we will email you before it takes effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
