Registering for the CBLE
Every date for this sitting
Registration closing is the date everyone knows. The three that catch people are self-selection, the webinar, and the withdrawal cut-off — which is 8:30 in the morning, not the end of the day.

Steps
- 1Create or sign in to your account on the eCBP Portal (e.cbp.dhs.gov/brokers).
- 2Confirm you may sit the exam: U.S. citizen, at least 18 on exam day, not an officer or employee of the federal government (19 CFR 111.13(b)). Good moral character and age 21 are licence requirements, not exam requirements.
- 3Register for the sitting and pay the $390 exam fee during the registration window.
- 4Watch for the candidate webinar invitation — CBP emails it the day after registration closes, and the webinar covers exam-day admin and recent changes.
- 5Choose your test location when self-selection opens on the vendor's site. This is a separate step from registering, and it is where locations run out.
- 6Prepare your paper references and print your exam-day checklist before the date.
